BotaniGard Maxx is a bio-insecticide that has multiple modes of action for the quick knock-down, prevention and suppression of disease causing pests, including but not limited to, aphids, thrips, weevils, whiteflies, leafhoppers, Lepidoptera, beetles, borers and leafminers. Botanigard Maxx combines the active ingredients: Pyrethrins, 0.75% and Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA, 0.06% which disrupts the ion exchange in an insect's nervous system causing uncontrollable movement. Beauveria bassiana spores attach, germinate, and penetrate the cuticle of target pests to cause death. These active ingredients work by increasing the movement of the pest and transmission of the fungal spores to the targeted pest population. Botanigard Maxx is an OMRI product that can be applied to a wide range of plants, fruits, vegetables, trees, cucurbits, stone fruits, leafy green vegetables and others noted in the label. Botanigard should also be tank mixed with adjuvants, surfactants and other insecticides with varying modes of action to achieve an even more powerful effect within your IPM program. BotaniGard Maxx is most effective when used early, at the first appearance of the insect pests.
