Velossa is a selective herbicide that effectively provides contact and residual control of many annual, biennial and perennial weeds, including broadleaf, woody and grassy weeds. Velossa is most efficient when used as a preemergent or postemergent herbicides when weeds are less than 2 inches in height or diameter. As a foliar spray it is recommended that Velossa is used under conditions of high temperature (above 80°F), high humidity, and good soil moisture. Foliar activity may be reduced when vegetation is dormant, semi-dormant, or under stress. It is rated for crops such as alfalfa grown for hay, Christmas trees, forestry site preparation and release areas, and industrial areas. It contains 25% hexazinone as its active ingredient. It is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and free from alcohol and petroleum solvents, however, care must be taken when using this product and the label instructions must be read and followed prior to use.
