Big Max Pumpkins are lots of fun to grow but require considerable space as they can weigh up to 200 pounds and have a diameter of 70 inches!
Planting Information: When and where to plant: Plant in late spring after the last frost, in full sun or light shade. Soil should be warm, enriched with a vegetable food and compost, and cultivated. Firm soil over seed. May be grown among corn plants.
Care: Feed monthly and keep soil moist. Pinch off all but 1 or 2 pumpkins per vine for larger fruit.
Harvesting: Cut from vine using a pruning shear, leaving 3 inches of stem.
Storage: Store seed in cool, dry place. Heat and moisture can severely reduce germination.
