BroadAxe XC (Syngenta)

BroadAxe XC is a group 14 and 15 herbicide that has dual modes of action and contains the broad-spectrum activity of sulfentrazone and S-metolachlor to control key broadleaf weeds, such as Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, morningglory, kochia and annual grass weeds. BroadAxe XC fits under any trait platform, and removes the competition of problem grass and broadleaf weeds to help preserve yields. Its benefits are that it provides flexible application timing up to 3 days after planting, but prior to crop or weed emergenc and it is available as a dicamba herbicide tank-mix option in soybeans, giving farmers another powerful option against weeds outside of what they are/were currently using. BroadAxe is effective in all tillage systems and can adapt across geographies and soil types and is powerful enough to manage problem weeds specific to the upper Midwest and provides protection for Russian thistle mangement. Finally, BroadAxe XC allows for flexible integrated weed management plans in soybeans, sunflowers and dry shelled peas, and across soybean trait platforms
